Class Descriptions

Little Stars (3-5 years):

This class provides a basic introduction to dance and movement skills by combining simple ballet technique with funky jazz moves and fun games.  Children have the opportunity to develop coordination and musicality skills as well as gain confidence in a friendly, imaginative and fun-filled environment.

Open Days for these classes will be held at the end of Terms 1 and 3 and children will be involved in the end of year concert at the end of Term 4.

Beginner Classes (5-7 years):

It is recommended that children start with a Beginner Jazz class until they have the confidence and coordination to try Tap and/or Ballet. Our Beginner Jazz classes give children an introduction to basic ballet technique combined with funky jazz moves. Children develop skills in movement, coordination, musicality and confidence.  All Beginner classes provide children with a firm foundation for future development in Junior classes and beyond.  Tap and Ballet classes have a stronger focus in that particular style of dance.

Open Days for these classes will be held at the end of Terms 1 and 3 and children will be involved in the end of year concert at the end of Term 4.
